The City of Atlanta is the inner part of the Atlanta metropolitan area, which is home to more than 62 million people.  The Chattahoochee River flows through Atlanta from the Blue Ridge Mountains southwesterly through the suburbs of Atlanta.
Community Profile
The Radical Archive of Preservation (t.r.a.p.) aims to represent a diversity of experiences found in the City of Atlanta.  Trap music and culture describes a cultural context, geographic space, and musical genre found in Southern hip hop and African American experience.  Discourses on trap aesthetics and themes highlight alternative strategies of liberation in underserved communities in Atlanta, Georgia.  Trap culture involves creative production, black lived experiences, and highly performative practices.  My interest in feminist performance-based practices attempts to de-center the masculinist the culture-baring responsibilities of Black women in these communities that are often overlooked and decentered.  The masculinist nature of trap culture centers men, aggressiveness, and bravado necessary to keep moving in the environments these cultural artifacts are found in.

While I could not find any statistical data in reference to racial and ethnic identities of the group, I did attend the 2023 Conference at Kennessaw State University.  The conference was in-person and over the course of 2 days.  I do not think the majority of the membership attended the conference, but there were a few occasions where we could see the group as a whole.  The majority of the representation presented as white and female.
